Best Lightweight Vacuum Cleaners For the Elderly
Not everyone may be able to handle a heavy vacuum cleaner. It's a good thing that most vacuum manufacturers nowadays are coming up with lighter versions of the standard vacuum. These small cleaners are the best options for people who can't otherwise handle large machines and equipment because of age and general disposition.
Lightweight is great for the elderly and people suffering from certain medical conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis. These vacuums often weigh less than ten pounds and won't break your back or do damage to your spine. They're easier to move around as the length of the handle is shorter and the motor is smaller and generally lighter. Some small vacuum cleaners even come without cords or bags that otherwise add more weight to the machine. So anyone can practically clean in less time as you can quite easily move from one area to another area without having to attach and detach plug from the electrical outlet. It definitely saves time and effort.
Most of these lightweight vacuums come complete with accessories found on larger, heavier vacuum cleaners. If you're worried that this type of vacuum won't do the job well, worry no more as you'll find that lightweight vacuums can also reach high ceilings and tall cabinets to catch dirt and dust with the use of brush attachments and extension wands for hard to reach parts of the house. With crevice tools, you can clean around legs of chairs and bases of hard to move and heavy furniture. Some even come with rotating brushes and bare floor brush ideal for cleaning braided rugs and carpets.
Here are a few of the small vacuum cleaners available to buy in the market today:
Oreck Housekeeper Canister Vacuum weighs less than five pounds but has a powerful suction with a 5 foot flexible hose that can clean hard to reach places. It basically cleans high surfaces as well as sofas and floors. It also comes with a hypoallergenic dust bag ideal for people suffering from asthma and certain allergies. Sanitaire System Pro Hepa Canister Vacuum is a great choice if you're looking to buy a small vacuum that comes with HEPA filter. Just like most small vacuum cleaners, this product also has features ideal for easy and quick cleaning. Eureka 4700D Maxima Bagless Upright Vacuum is a full upright vacuum cleaner that is lightweight and easy to operate because of its general design, easy cord rewind and grip handle and dirt cup eliminating the need for constantly replacing disposable cleaner bags.

Five Reasons to Hire a Commercial Cleaning Company for Your Restaurant
More and more restaurants are turning to the services of a commercial cleaning company to remain spotless throughout the day - and with good reason.
Restaurants and bars are places where the ambience, environment and appeal of the surroundings are crucial to success. As any commercial cleaning company will tell you, people like to eat, drink and socialise in places they feel at ease in, and a huge part of this depends on creating a space that is clean and germ free.
It sounds simple, but behind the scenes the work that goes into keeping a restaurant clean can be exhausting. From kitchen areas to bars, windows, upholsteries and outdoor areas, keeping a business in top condition involves more than just mopping the floor. Keeping a successful establishment clean is so important that many restaurant owners are now turning to a commercial cleaning company for help.
Here are some of the reasons why:
1. Health and safety
Restaurants are places where hygiene is paramount. Areas where food is prepared need to be immaculately kept in order to keep germs and bacteria at bay, for the well being of staff and customers alike. Health and safety inspections can often uncover problem areas which restaurant owners were unaware of, and this can cause unwanted stress for those in charge.
With the help of a commercial cleaning company, these surprises can be avoided - good cleaning companies will know the areas to be especially vigilant about and are usually invaluable in maintaining hygiene standards.
2. Customer satisfaction
Nobody wants to dine in a restaurant where the windows are grubby and the carpets have seen better days. To make sure that customers enjoy their experience, and the food on offer, there should be no stone left un-turned in terms of cleaning.
A commercial cleaning company will comprehensively clean all areas, including the places that busy staff might otherwise overlook, meaning that the restaurant itself is as attractive as it can be to the eyes of its beholders.
3. Outdoor areas
The prevalence of al fresco dining areas and outdoor smoking patios mean an added area to be cleaned at the end of a busy day, and might need more attention than you think.
A clean, well maintained outdoor area is essential to customer experience, and this means regular sweeping, cleaning, and washing of outdoor seating and umbrellas, all of which a commercial cleaning company can do to a very high standard. In summer months these areas will need regular attention, but ideally they should be well kept all year round, not only for appearances sake but also to avoid drainage problems, and for pest control.
4. Hazard control
Using the services of a commercial cleaning company isn't just about making your restaurant look nice - it's also about taking practical steps towards controlling hazardous environments.
For kitchens, a build up of greasy deposits within the hot kitchen extractor system can greatly increase the risk of fire. In restaurant kitchens, these systems need regular maintenance because of the volume of cooking and heat they are exposed to. Insurers in particular will require evidence that a fire risk assessment has been carried out, and this includes inspection and cleaning by professional contractors.
5. Ducts and clean air systems
Part of making a restaurant a safe, clean and pleasant place to eat in includes the maintenance of fresh air, whether through cooling or heating systems. Air conditioning systems in particular need to be maintained and cleaned from the inside, and this is something restaurant staff may not have the knowledge and the time to do themselves.
A commercial cleaning company should have cleaners who are trained to clean these systems and keep them free of debris so that your customers can relax in an environment which is has clean air and a comfortable temperature.

How Today's Youth is Learning How to Live Frugally From Their Older Generations
Today's generation is an instant gratification generation. When they want something, they want it now and many times values a newer item versus a better quality item. Many people would be surprised to find out that in a recent study,a group of teens and twenty something said that when something in your home breaks, like an appliance, they would just go buy a new one. They have no idea that the concept of fixing something you already own is an option. Now with the struggling economy this younger generation are learning how to be more frugal from the older generations that have been doing just that all along. For example, if your vacuum breaks you should go to a vacuum repair shop and take a look at vacuum parts and vacuum pumps that may need to be replaced. This article will describe other lessons the younger generation is now learning from the older ones on ways to be more frugal.
The amount of credit cards among people under the age of 30 is astronomically high. Many of these people were given credit cards at the age of 18. They were lured by the credit card companies that offered some of them gifts or prizes if they did get a card. Many of these young teens were not capable of understanding how to budget their money yet. But, they did know that they had a credit card with a high limit that would allow them to buy whatever they wanted at the time. They would then just pay the minimum requirement each month resulting in a growing debt that soon got out of control. This credit card fed on the instant gratification of these younger people and shows greatly the problems with our economy today. People are having greater amounts of debt at younger ages than ever before. They now need to learn how to change that.
Many bad things have a silver lining and this recession may be one of those examples. The economic struggles have forced many people that were living way beyond their means to take a good hard look at themselves and their spending. They are now seeking the advice of the older generations to help them relearn how to be financially smart. One lesson is to pay off and get rid of their credit cards and to just use them for emergency purposes. This is tough for a lot of people but it will help them realize that they can only buy something if they have the cash for it at that time. Another thing they are learning is to take care of the things that you do own. When something breaks like a TV, an appliance or even your car, take it to get fixed instead of buying a new one. If you absolutely have to buy a new item, invest in a better made item that will last many years instead of cheaper made product that will break after one year. This is how to be more frugal in today's society.
